What is youthSAFE?
YouthSAFE is a Greensboro-based organization that provides an environment in which LGBTQIAA youth come together to build community with one another, share resources, and build skills for responding creatively to the world around them.

Who comes to meetings?
Meetings are always casual and welcoming to new folks. There are usually 3-10 youth and a few adult volunteers at any meeting. Our group is diverse in terms of gender, sexuality, race, and socioeconomic background.

What do you do at meetings?
We talk about a range of LGBTQIAA issues, including anything that people at the meeting want to discuss. We try to help each other out with serious stuff, but we also do fun activities too, like arts, crafts, and movie nights.

How often and where do you meet?
Every Friday from 6:30 - 8:30! We meet in space provided by Higher Ground (210 East Bessemer Ave.) near downtown Greensboro. The space is accessible via public transportation.

I have an LGBTQIAA youth in my family. How can I talk to someone about them getting involved with YouthSAFE?

Please send us an email at youthsafeGSO@gmail.com and we'll be happy to answer your questions.
